Mission, Vision & Values

Mission
Elbert Memorial Hospital's mission is to continuously seek ways to improve our delivery of healthcare and related services that exceed the expectations of our patients, their families, and all other customers.

Vision
Elbert Memorial Hospital will continue to deliver quality healthcare through continuing quality improvement to our customers of Elbert County and surrounding communities by providing "state of the art technology" in a modern facility.

Values
To achieve our Vision, Elbert Memorial Hospital promotes these values:

We value all people - those we serve and those with whom we work. We encourage people to express ideas and consider suggestions from others. We work together as a team and treat each other with respect.

We value listening, caring, and being sensitive to the needs of others. We respond to patients, family members, each member of the hospital team, and whomever else we may serve in a manner that clearly indicates our desire not only to meet their needs, but to exceed their expectations.

We value continuously improving effective communications within the organization and with all publics served by members of our team.

We value continuously improving upon everything we do to achieve excellence in performance. This continuous improvement applies to people as well. We encourage personal growth and learning for all members of our team.

We value our resources and recognize that we fulfill our mission only if we successfully manage our financial and other resources. Therefore, we actively create innovative, cost-effective systems throughout the organization to continuously improve the management of all resources used.

Elbert Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, JCAHO.

That means that we voluntarily submit to evaluations of our compliance with nationwide hospital standards on a continuing basis. Joint Commission accreditation is your assurance that Elbert Memorial Hospital practices continuous quality monitoring to provide you with quality health care.
